PACI Youth Fundraising in Fresno

On Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, PACI Youth with the help of Kanoon, an Iranian cultural society in Fresno, hosted an event in Fresno to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Central California.
The event went great! The total funds raised for the Children’s Hospital is $15,250! This whole event was possible due to the courage of one young lady, Nasim Rad. At age 16 she was diagnosed with leukemia and while still undergoing treatment she wanted to give back to the wonderful hospital that treated her.
Children’s Hospital of Central California is a place where low income children can go to get treatment for their cancer without having to worry so much about the cost. At the event we had a lot going on. There was food for everyone and talks given by Nasim’s social worker, her yoga instructor and of course, the wonderful Mrs. Sadler. The guests were also treated to a special debut of the PACI song’s music video, and two dance numbers, graciously performed by Sharhzad Dance Academy. In addition, there was also a silent auction and a free raffle. Overall, the event was very successful and everybody seemed to have a great time! We hope to do this again in the future!
