Club 670 Donation

On Sunday May 2nd, Club 670 hosted a Poker Tournament at the Bicycle Club and invited PACI to run a Bone Marrow Drive.  The day started with much excitement setting up for the drive; many people showed up to register and we collected 100 applications. Club 670 had promised to donate 15% of their proceeds to PACI; in addition, two leather jackets were auctioned off.  The day culminated with donation of a check to Persian American Cancer institute in the amount of $11,355.00.

Mr. John Paley the General Manager of Radio 670 AM also generously donated a $1000 check.

Our sincere gratitude to Club 670, Mr. Paley, and all those involved in helping make this gift possible.

PACI Team joins the Race for the Cure

Race for the Cure

Two wonderful Iranians ladies, Shani and Shirin were inspired by the idea of their children, Rameen and Idean, to join Susan Komen’s walk for cancer.
Their family had to endure the painful journey beside their loved ones who were inflicted with cancer. This ordeal brought much awareness to their family and they have taken the lead in helping others. It is through their efforts that PACI Team will be joining Susan G. Komen, race for the cure, on March 14, 2010.

Together, we will make a difference!

PACI expands to the East coast!

PACI Expands to the East CoastPACI’s call for Bone Marrow registries has reached beyond borders and deep into the hearts of many Iranians all around the world. Our voice has been heard globally, and our goal to Educate, Guide and Support has taken a whole new direction.
Our Bone Marrow Drives for Farnaz and Mona have brought much awareness to public and inspired them to educate themselves further about cancer, other blood related diseases and the role of bone marrow centers and their mission.
We recently received a priceless gift from two ladies in Boston. Many have volunteered their time and services, but these two ladies named Halleh Mahini, and Labkhand Asefi Moghadam, after a few phone conversations with us, they took initiative and held a Bone Marrow Drive on Jan 17th, 2010.
We were informed that 120 people showed up for the drive and registration, and $1300 was collected in donations for PACI. Halleh nor Labkhand have never met any PACI members but our quest to help another human being has been grand enough to bring us together. Their efforts prove the effectiveness of teamwork, their depth of compassion and the essence of humanity, which can surpass boundaries and pierce through walls of impossibility.
“Our sincere gratitude to the friends of PACI, Boston Chapter” PACI is a stranger to no one, but an ever-growing friend to all.    Helen Kamali CEO

A group of young Iranian-American girls, residents of Northern California have decided to start a PACI Youth Group. In the month of May 2008, two friends Mitra and Roz, decided to ask for money in lieu of gifts for their birthday. They decided on their own to promote cancer awareness and donate their birthday money to Persian American Cancer Institute in support of our mission. They proudly collected $1,215 and personally phoned Mrs. Sadler to inform her of their collection. Mrs. Sadler promised a personal visit to Northern California to meet, embrace and mentor these wonderful, young Samaritans in starting a Youth PACI Group. Mr. Bijan Pakzad, the world-renowned fashion designer, learned of the kind, selfless act of this youth group and was so touched that he offered a $5,000 check to be added to the $1,215 and be donated to PACI.

Our endless gratitude to Mitra and Roz, their friends and family and Bijan for supporting PACI and it’s mission. After all, PACI belongs to all of us!!!
