Peyman:Lymphoma Patient
Hi, I am Setareh, 28 yrs old, a dentist in my 2nd yr of Maxillofacial residency. I have been diagnosed with an aggressive form of Acute Leukemia (AML) and I'm being treated at MD Anderson cancer center.
Hear the silent plea of an ailing body,
Feel the aching pound of a mother’s heart,
Taste the salty tears that are shed in darkness,
Give, Be the Sun at the break of dawn

Helen Kamali
"My name is Parsis and I’m 2 ½ years old. I love my maman and baba very much, because they kiss me all the time and say I’m their Persian Princess. I hate it when I go to get blood…my mommy says it is good for me; but it hurts"
We don't know how else to say this. If you would take 5 minutes right now you may SAVE SOMEONE'S LIFE. Can you imagine how huge that would be??? There are patients in hospitals right now, waiting for a bone marrow match, so their lives can be spared.
" I am writing to you from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Jackson Memorial Hospital, in Miami, Florida. Unfortunately after only four months living in America, in November 2007, I was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder, which has gradually led to bone marrow failure.
"I have Leukemia (AML) and looking for a bone marrow donor. I have a 12 years old daughter whom I love very much.
"I am 36 years old. In 2008, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Three months after an 8 months round of chemo and radiation, the disease came back and spread through my bones."

BODIES IN MOTION EFFORTS!

On Saturday, August 28th, 2010 , Meridian ’s Bodies In Motion and the Persian American Cancer Institute joined forces to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new Bodies In Motion health and fitness club in Brentwood and to raise funds for the wonderful work, that PACI continues to accomplish daily, for the benefit of everyone. This event was a huge success, many visitors enrolled in the club on this day and a substantial donation was given to PACI, to further their miraculous efforts! Bodies In Motion looks forward to a long partnership with PACI, in the pursuit of good health for all.

The above was possible due to Fatia Candari's self motivation to give to her community. Beyond the monetary contribution PACI is extremely grateful to people like Fatia who take ownership of PACI and do what they can to help us spread our name and awareness. This is what we are here for, for everyone to take charge for their own destiny and not be afraid to talk about cancer. Thank you Fatia!
